Only on a reality show as chaotic as Vanderpump Rules would major drama unfold over a galaxy projection light. Yes, you read that right, a galaxy light started a fight.
I'm guessing most of Raquel Leviss's screentime later in the season will involve the Scandoval affair (and if you aren't following, wyd???), but the starry lamp she brought on a girls' trip to Las Vegas (and then talked about at Tom/Ariana's pool party, and then brought to Mexico....) was the spark that set off her feud with Lala Kent and Katie Maloney.
You don't watch? 1. Correct that, stat. 2. Let me set the scene: Raquel annoyed Lala, Katie, and Kristina Kelly by drunkenly microwaving her leftovers and telling Lala "thank god you don't have a man," then she retreated to her room to chill with a soothing light show, as one does. Kristina saw the projector, told the other girls, and they proceeded to make fun of it—while Raquel was listening in. Then she cried herself to sleep.
Now, not to defend Raquel (she really doesn't deserve it!!!), but her galaxy light is actually kinda cool. Like, in a peaceful zen way, not in a made-for-three-year-olds kinda way like the other girls made it seem.
Exhibit A. Raquel using the light in Las Vegas. See, colorful, soothing, relaxing!
Exhibit B. Tom Schwartz using the light when he was in Mexico for Scheana Shay's wedding (they really did seem like a match made in heaven...little did we know....).
The projector shines starlight skies in changing blues, greens, and purples and can sync to your favorite music—be it EDM or Taylor Swift. It's also an excellent way to unwind, even if you aren't exhausted from breaking up longterm relationships or causing rifts between recently divorced couples.
Here are a few of our faves that you can buy and get ASAP from Amazon. I will be using mine to set the perfect atmosphere at home, while I watch the rest of this season's drama unfold.
